I’ve been tagged!

Patricia Woodside at http://readinnwritin.blogspot.com tagged me. I believe I’ve been tagged before but I’m not sure I’ve ever participated.  Thus, today is a day for new things.

Here’s how it works:

I list three categories of books.
5 MUST Read Books.
5 Books on Your Nightstand.
5 Look For These Soon.

Keeping with the theme, I tag bloggers. They should put these same lists on their blog but SUBTRACT one book from each list and ADD one of their own. Then they should tag at least 5 more bloggers.

It will be fun to see how the lists change as it goes around the blogosphere. Please come back to this post and leave a comment so I can see how the lists are changing as they go around the blogosphere. Since this is Book Buzz…please keep your lists to titles released in 2007-2009.

My additions are in BOLD.

  1. I am reading Rhythms of Grace right now. It’s amazing.

No it’s not like a chain letter. This how we put more books on our TBR pile.

  2. Thanks for being a good sport, Angela! And the truth is these memes, as they’re called, can be the exactly like a chain letter. But oft times they’re fun and a great way for authors to give readers a peek at the Person Behind the Books.

I’ve got Rhythms of Grace in my sights and Yolanda’s book on my TBR list. Hadn’t heard of the Beverly Jenkins’ book though. Still planning to read Jewel.

  3. I was tagged awhile back, but I guess I was a party pooper because I didn’t participate.

My nighstand looks like a library shelf. I’m currently reading my own manuscript. Gotta push the send button by Saturday. (Do you hear my teeth chattering). Next up is Can I Get a Witness?, Up Pops the Devil, The Secret Life of Bees, The Truth About Love (Tia forgive me). I’m also listening to Divas of Damascus in the car.

The coming soon pile is Zora and Nicky by Claudia Mair Burney, Rhythms of Grace by Marilynn Griffith and Divorcing the Devil by Dwan Abrams.

I’m writing now so it’s slow going on the reading. I get through a chapter a day when I’m writing. So I’ll be doing this pile until Christmas.

  4. Patricia, Beverly’s book won’t be out until early next year. I was fortunate enough to get an early copy.

All of you read more than I do. I’m taking my Kindle with me this weekend in hope of getting in a book or two while I travel.
