I found this graphic for the 2008 Soul Expressions Author Tour that I’ll be a part of in August. You’ll notice that there are a variety of genres represented, with Up Pops the Devil and Rhythms of Grace, by one of this week’s guest bloggers, prominent in the mix.
I hope to see you on the road so check out the dates below the image for a stop near you.

I’m so excited for you being on this tour. It looks like a great opportunity for you and the other authors. I received my copy of Up Pops the Devil today. I hope to begin it in a week or so. Thanks again.
I’m from Indiana, grew up near Indianapolis and have friends and relatives still there. My dad’s people are from Fort Wayne and I’ve got lots of relatives still there too. And they are big readers so I’ll make sure I tell them about your tour.
Best wishes to you!
I’m also one who grew up in Indiana and have relatives there! I’ll be sure to pass the word with my Indianapolis area family. Home is 40 miles away from Indianapolis. I wish I were going to be there(:.
This looks like a great tour! Too bad the DC metropolitan area isn’t one of the stops.
Hey Angela,
Me and several members of my bookclub are coming. We are actually planning to arrive sometime Thursday evening in Fort Wayne. Would you all be in Fort Wayne. We were thinking we might want to get a head start on the signing cause we have over a hundred books that will need (well we want to get signed) to be signed!! Maybe we could meet yall at the hotel or something. If not, we will be at Walmart bright and early, hopefully first in line and I hope the other people don’t get mad at us.
Jeannette, planning to come by the hotel the night before is probably not a good idea. I think we finish up our last signing in Indianapolis at 6p and we have a little more than a two-hour to Ft. Wayne and somewhere in there we have to get dinner. I have a feeling it’s going to be late and we’re going to be tuckered out when we get to the hotel.
I haven’t even gotten the final itinerary yet so I’m not even sure where we’re staying in Ft. Wayne, or if we’re staying in Indianapolis that night and driving up to Ft. Wayne the following morning. I certainly hope it’s the former.
I wish the organizers would consider coming a little further north into Wisconsin . . .
I’ve enjoyed reading your books over the years from the very beginning. It would really be nice if the tour would come to the Los Angeles, CA area. Please consider it.
Quite a few folks have wondered why the tour didn’t come to a city near them. Well, Levy Home Entertainment sponsors the tour. They distribute books to about 1100 of the more than 3000 Wal-Mart stores. So even though you have a Wal-Mart in your town that Wal-Mart may not be served by Levy. For example, most of the Wal-Marts in the south are serviced by Anderson Books, so there will never be a Soul Expressions Tour at Wal-Marts in the south. Now Anderson could sponsor a tour but I have heard nothing of plans to do so.
I hope this helps explains why the tour is not going all over the country.
